Teen Driver Ed
Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles requires all teenagers between 16.5 and 18 years of age to complete the Driver Education Course, in order to get their Driver’s License.
This Driver Education class consists of 42 hours of total driving instruction:
Students may attend Teen Driver Ed lessons at age of 15 years and 9 months, and do not need to have a learner’s permit for that (this Teen Driver Ed course will help pass the RMV written exam).
Driving Classes are held Monday through Friday, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, for 3 weeks.
To receive a Driver Education Certificate, all 42 hours of this Teen Driver Ed program must be completed. Missed classes or driving lessons have to be made up, otherwise the Driver Education Certificate will not be issued. Students under the age of 18 have to hold their learner’s permit for 6 months before they can schedule a road test.
Food, drinks (except water), portable audio players, and hats are NOT allowed in the classroom. Use of alcohol and drugs will not be tolerated. Anyone violating these rules may be suspended or expelled without refunds.
